Are these outsoles non-marking?
Yes, the rubber soles on our product are non-marking on gymnasium floors.
What Size Do I Order?
Since our shoes do fit large, because of toe box width and toe height, we generally recommend going down one-half size from that which is usually worn by other widely known athletic brands. For example, if you wear a size 8.5 in an athletic shoe from USA athletic branded shoes, we would suggest you order size 8 in our footwear. Unless you are already wearing a wide shoe and in that case we suggest the same size. Without the ability to try the shoe on, it is always our best estimate. If shoes don't fit you can exchange them for a different size as long as they meet the return guidelines found on our website.
What is Vibram?
Vibram is the world leader in rubber outsole manufacturing and they partner with premium brands as a component supplier. Vibram designs rubber compounds specific to footwear company needs. They have formulated an X Abrade compound specific to use on outdoor playing surfaces such as painted silica grit treated pickleball courts. We have collaborated with Vibram on our outsole design to ensure performance grip, stability, and durability.

Developed in our labs to perform on both Outdoor silica grit treated, and smooth indoor playing surfaces.
The Chevron Design provides excellent non-slip performance and stability.
Lightweight Material
Our removable insole has a Polyurethane base with Nylex top layer. Polyurethane is a shock-absorbing material that dispels impact outwardly for better cushioning comfort. The insole uses Tyrol’s Cooling System and has perforation in arch area that allows for breathable flow through ventilation.
Heel Stabilizer
The Smash heel stabilizer is designed to give rear foot control and support. Our sculpted last follows foot anatomy and creates a curved heel. The curved heel sets your foot snuggly into the back of the shoe and provide correct alignment to prevent ankle rollover.
Power Clip
The power clip is name for the rubber toe bumper that moves up to the medial side of the shoe to add support for stepping into your shot. It also gives “toe draggers” support at the toe and medial side of the shoe.

We designed a flow-through Cooling System that allows air movement and ventilation through the insole, midsole and outsole of the shoe.
Torsion Control Shank
The Smash offers Tyrol’s Torsional Control Shank to provide lateral stability working in unison with the exterior Heel Counter to prevent ankle rollover in the quick side to side movement of Pickleball.
Generously Wide Toe Box
The Smash shoe is built as a medium fit shoe and is slightly narrower than our other Tyrol models. The ‘D’ fit last does however continue to offer a deeper toe height that supports the quick forward / stop action in going to the kitchen line. This fit is designed for Pickleball players to prevent toe injury which is prevalent in the sport.
